Couldn't be happier with this radio, which I selected because it was recommended by the Wirecutter. It feels extremely sturdy and well made. The simple knobs are very easy for my elderly mother to handle. Best of all is that the sound is much fuller than expected. As for the vendor: best price and next day shipping. Amazing service!

This unit replaces my old and vintage Radio Shack MTA-16 AM / FM Table Radio in my kitchen. I feel like I'm moving from the ice age to the year 2000. The Sangean WR-11 is heavy, made solid and has a very impressive sound for this little thing. I love its vintage look with its ivory buttons, I'm glad I bought it from a Canadian retailer.

The sound is as good as possible from a unit this size. If anything, there is a tiny bit too much bass, but that is completely subjective. There is an electrical device here that generates FM interference. I use this radio with an external outdoor antenna and it is less susceptible to the FM interference than 2 other radios which I tried. The interference is not noticeable. As an FM tuner alone, it sounded good when connected to the stereo through the "Record Out" receptacle. I do not use the AM, so no comment in that regard.

We've had this radio for several months now and we love it! It was hard to find a dedicated radio with the basic functions we wanted. The others we looked at had poor quality sound. This radio has excellent sound and it is easy to tune into a station using the indicator light. We love the retro look. It's classy, simple, and of great quality.

This is exactly what I was looking for. A solid, compact AM/FM unit that fits perfectly on my kitchen counter. A throwback design but with up to date, modern electronics and kick-ass sound. All knobs have a heavy, solid feel to them and the wooden cabinet and front face are tastefully designed and not overly nostalgic.

Fantastic little radio. Got one for my mom for xmas and she loves it. Simple to use, good sound and hold station without losing signal. Got a second one for office at work.
