The Audio-Technica ATH-AWAS over-ear headphones are crafted with precision from the rare Asada Zakura (Japanese cherry) wood, known for its exceptional acoustic properties and durability. This striking red wood not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also minimizes resonance inside the earcups, ensuring a clear and natural sound. The hand-applied half-gloss finish accentuates the wood's elegant grain, which will deepen over time, adding to the headphone's timeless beauty.

Featuring exclusive 53 mm drivers with advanced magnetic circuitry, pure-iron yoke, DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating, and 6N-OFC (high-purity, oxygen-free copper) voice coils, the ATH-AWAS delivers outstanding full-range audio reproduction. The innovative D.A.D.S. (Double Air Damping System) divides the housing into separate acoustic chambers, providing smooth and precise bass response.

The headphones are designed with magnesium alloy arms for a lightweight yet rigid structure, enhancing the fit and seal. The comfort is further optimized by smooth synthetic leather earpads and headband.
