The Audio-Technica ATH-AWKT over-ear headphones are a testament to exquisite craftsmanship and superior sound engineering. Constructed from the rare Japanese hardwood Kokutan (striped ebony), these headphones offer a natural, resonant-free audio experience. The dense wood, known for its use in high-quality musical instruments, suppresses unwanted resonance, while the hand-applied half-gloss finish enhances the wood's striking grain, which deepens over time.

Equipped with 53 mm drivers and German Permendur magnetic circuitry, the ATH-AWKT delivers precise and expansive sound. The lightweight titanium flanges and 6N-OFC (high-purity, oxygen-free copper) voice coils ensure accurate signal transmission and diaphragm movement. The innovative D.A.D.S. (Double Air Damping System) separates the acoustic chambers, enhancing bass response with clarity and depth.

The headphones feature magnesium alloy arms for durability and an excellent fit, complemented by plush, durable sheep skin earpads and a comfortable headband. The ATH-AWKT includes A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) jacks, allowing you to connect with either a 6.3 mm (1/4") gold-plated stereo plug or a 4-pin XLRM balanced connector, ensuring compatibility with both standard and high-fidelity audio equipment.
